    Hi Everyone.

I am in my mid 20s and sort of new to trading, I have been playing around with discretionary trading with the purple group. I didnt have the time to watch a screen, so here I am at automated trading through IG.

For any other people trading south african indices, I was hoping someone could provide some clarity between all the indices: There is mini, micro and standard variations of the SA40. And each one also has a Futures, or cash index. These confuse me, all I want to know, What should I be trading which is cheapest? because I do not have the capital to sustain losses at R50 per point.

Then one general question. Is there a difference in coding between buying “shares” or “contracts” or does it all come down to the same thing in the end. Ie, can I use a system I wrote that says “shares” and it will still function if I buy Forex.
