I think one the IG/PRT IT guys has spilled some Coca-Cola over the keyboard or the servers’ room got flooded. There is not other plausible explanation :)))
My strategies are still “stopping” but working at the same time. I am done for today. I hope tomorrow morning all the strategies have stopped and the floating profit at zero.
Good luck
04/10/2019 at 6:37 AM #95898As long as we cannot retrieved the “freeze level” automatically with codes, we’ll come across the pending orders rejection problem, therefore these kind of topics will continue to be opened continuously by members 😐

04/10/2019 at 8:04 AM #95907Unfortunately these sort of rejections in demo knock the confidence of traders to go live with automated trading so it would benefit IG if the situation could be improved in any way. When a PRT user is getting these issues the first reaction can be to blame the platform so any improvement also benefits PRT.
Users generally give up sending reports from the platform every time a demo strategy stops because the standard reply from IG is that they don’t give much priority to demo.
Trading can be a lonely past time and so when it all goes wrong it is sometimes nice to come to a topic such as this and find that it is not just you and that others are in the same boat and seeing the same issues. So as long as this topic does not spiral into a rant against PRT then I personally don’t see why we shouldn’t continue to report any stopped or stopping strategies. All of those currently reporting their issues on here have been using PRT and the forums long enough to know that ranting solves nothing and usually results in being asked to close the door behind you on your way out.
Had Juan Salas not posted his last report I wouldn’t have checked my emails before going to bed and wouldn’t have known that I also had stopped strategies with orphaned trades – so posting reports helps others try to at least save some of their forward testing from being totally meaningless.

04/10/2019 at 8:41 AM #9591004/10/2019 at 9:49 AM #95914I’ve never seen this one before.
Same here.
04/10/2019 at 9:59 AM #9591604/10/2019 at 10:28 AM #95926Mines are still open and trying to be closed, but rejected every few seconds (see screenshot). Last night around midnight only 2 out of 10 got closed. I still have 10 orders “closing” in ProOrder, but still working. I am trying to close them from the IG platform but it doesn’t work.
I guess it is time to send an e-mail to IG. The good thing is that is the DEMO account.
Good luck
04/10/2019 at 10:44 AM #95929Have you got a red cross / x alongside the ‘stopping Autos’?
I clicked the x and then the trade looked like a normal manual trade and then I tried every which way I could think of and many many times over to close via the IG Platform and also loads of clicking on the x on PRT Platform
Only thing I can think of is that a report is run that flags up (to a human) trades that are attempted closure > y times either via IG and / or PRT Platforms? Then the human closed / deleted my rogue trade?
Then again maybe I just got lucky in getting my closure? 🙂
04/10/2019 at 11:00 AM #95936Finallyyyyyyyyyy!!!!
The trades got closed by itself as I was writing the email to IG.
Yes Grahal, two of my trades had a red cross like in manual trading. I clicked many times but it didn’t work. Those trades were the one that closed last night. As for the rest, they have vanished as I was writing the ticket to IG.
In any case, floating profit went back to zero and everything is normal again 🙂
Thanks,
Juan

04/11/2019 at 3:03 PM #96108Definitely strange things happening. I restarted one of my stopped strategies but left the open position orphaned on the market. Today when I looked the open position had disappeared and the strategy had been stopped again. In the orders list I found lots of rejected orders with this excuse which is another new one for me: ‘Position Does Not Exist.’
04/12/2019 at 8:17 AM #96207Yeah I’ve had that Position does not Exist message lots in the last few days.
I mentioned 1 x trade orphaned 2 days ago, well when I checked all my accounts I have another 10 x trade orphans which are still trading!
I have set limit orders for each of them just above that Monthly support line, but every time I set a limit order I got the message – Oder ID cannot be found.
I’ll see if the Limit Order execute … all a waste of time of course as it will even more screw up my Performance History re Auto-Trading for that account … but it’s a load of shite anyway due to the many other anomaly type trades / figures thrust upon the account (e.g. £42k Gain a while back!).
I think I’ve got out of bed the wrong side this morning! 🙂
04/12/2019 at 8:43 AM #96216I restarted one of my stopped strategies but left the open position orphaned on the market. Today when I looked the open position had disappeared and the strategy had been stopped again.
I also restarted the 10 Systems that lead to my 10 x still trading orphans, I just checked and 4 of the Systems have since opened trades.
Above for info / to show that there seems no consistency to what we are all getting / experiencing?
04/12/2019 at 5:09 PM #96279Same here.
After the problem with my 12 strategies that was solved few days ago, I just had encountered that two of those strategies had somehow survived and have re-opened as orphan trades. They have the same features than Grahal’s, although they belong to automatic trades, they are depicted as manuals, with the red cross to closed them.
I have tried to closed them a thousand times already but they are rejected by IG, stating that positions does not exit.
I had the hope that they would vanished along this week, but it still there. It is not a big deal, but somehow interfere with the calculations and daily performance of the other strategies, and it piss me off.
04/12/2019 at 5:26 PM #9628304/12/2019 at 6:18 PM #96293I had a similar thing a while back and had an orphaned trade that I couldn’t close for several months before I was able to persuade IG to kill it!
Yeah, that is what I will do. I will write to IG support and see what happen.
