Only six strategies on two accounts stopped this weekend. Just the seven orphaned trades.
I received email notification but they only sent two emails with the names of four of the stopped strategies. I think the email alerts might need some sorting out too.

– DEMO ACCOUNT: all positions have been closed on the IG instrument dashboard. But the positions remain open in Proorder. They continue their lives in an orphan way. So I stopped everything in ProOrder and restarted manually.
– REAL ACCOUNT: There are some weird things happening. I have STOP and LIMIT (take profit) that have disappeared on some of my open positions. Wanting to add a STOP and LIMIT I have the algorithms that stopped in ProOrder. For now I am manually in orphan positions and I wait a little before relaunching.
For all these problems I did not receive any e-mail warning (the function is activated in ProRealTime).
Do you think these problems are due to the migration of IG UK to IG Europe?
04/15/2019 at 12:58 PM #96510– REAL ACCOUNT: There are some weird things happening.
If I was you then I would certainly let IG know about anything weird on your real account. We know that IG put no priority on demo so can always use that as an excuse but if weird things are starting to happen on real accounts then we cannot apply the same excuse! Someone contacting IG also may be the only way that we can find out what is causing all these recent issues.

when conditions are met, there’s a buy/sellshort at market order.
2 strategies, one was filled. Both strategies with each one contract.
Copied the live code to backtest and it showed indeed in live trading it had missed a trade.

Just to be sure that I fully understand. You have two strategies that send orders at exactly the same time to the market to buy or sell and only one order was filled? Have you checked your rejected orders list to see if an order was placed and if so why it was rejected?
04/16/2019 at 1:50 PM #96592Yes correct. Both long and they should be executed at the same time.
In rejected order list is nothing displayed regarding the skipped trade.
Contacted IG and I will sent a technical report.
For now I will restart the troubled strategy. Maybe that will fix it.
If I’ve more info I will post it.

04/16/2019 at 3:38 PM #96603Paul did you not get this scenario … the Order was filled 2 seconds later as attached?
It would appear that IG cannot fill 2 orders at the same time from the same platform on the same instrument in the same direction??

04/16/2019 at 4:08 PM #96608Yes I had those too. But that wasn’t the problem now. In your scenario you have the order which still get’s filled.
It simply skipped the buy at market in one strategy and there’s nothing in rejected orders. Backtest with the live code shows it should’ve bought, like the other strategy.
Will see how it goes after a restart.

04/28/2019 at 9:55 PM #97310Another weekend another stopped strategy on demo. At least I received an email this time. The strategy was on EURUSD. It now has an orphaned trade that I am unable to manually close. This particular strategy has been running since mid December and has only had eight trades and this is the second time it has been stopped due to rejected orders. The reasons given provide no real clues as to why the orders were rejected but due to the quantity of rejected orders it appears to be a PRT talking to IG and IG not listening issue.
I will try to close the orphaned strategy again tomorrow if the platform does not mysteriously close it itself before then.
This is all great auto trading confidence building stuff to start the week off with!
04/29/2019 at 7:50 AM #97321Well the EURUSD orphaned trades disappeared this morning but there was a total of 21 strategies stopped across three accounts for me last night! I now have dozens of orphaned trades that won’t close because they apparently don’t exist according to the ticket that is shown when I try to close them.
I have better things to do on a Monday morning than restart 21 strategies (especially as the ProOrder Autotrading window is so annoying to use!)
IG need to stop rejecting all these orders every weekend if they expect users to ever have the confidence to progress from demo trading to live trading.

EDIT / PS
Looks like the Reject Issue might just have cleared as I just had one order executed!
