Yeah, sorry to hear that; I’ve not checked all mine yet; need more coffee to man up to the demoralising task!
I’ve been charged over £100 interest over the weekend one one account only (Demo!) due to last weekend’s fiasco with orphan trades (all closed by / on 30 April 19).
I had closed all my trades by 20:00 on Friday so it > £100 false interest!
05/07/2019 at 5:13 PM #97850Things are still not right with the demo trading. I just noticed that one of my demo strategies has a very large position size showing in the ProOrder Autotrading window but there are no positions shown in the Positions window.
I’ll stop the strategy and see what happens.

I sympathise … it certainly feels like that at times!
It will all be different when version 11.0 rolls in!!??

I’d settle for v10.3 working as it should. At the moment we don’t have fully functioning MTF despite it being launched months ago. We don’t have a reliable or accurate demo platform which should be the absolute minimum. Based on all this v11 should be very interesting. I’d be happy with a working v1.0 at the moment!
Trading equals risking money and to risk money one needs reliability and accuracy. Reliability and accuracy results in confidence. Remove either reliability or accuracy and confidence equals zero and risking real money then also equals zero.
05/08/2019 at 11:06 AM #97905….and now today I checked on one of my demo strategies that I have on forward test. It shows an equity curve at around -£18000 due to a trade opened at the end of April and yet the ProOrder Autotrading window and the Orders windows show no such trade as being open.
I have stopped the strategy and restarted but it did not kill the phantom trade. Technical report sent fro platform.
05/08/2019 at 11:20 AM #9791105/08/2019 at 11:59 AM #97926Hello. I also have many concerns with the demo platform: orphan trades, strategies stopped without reason, colossal cost overnights. Also problems with the real platform including Pathfinder algorithm DAX (H4) … Unfortunately I see that the platforms are less and less reliable… It would be judicious for PRT to be able to answer us and tell us if there are any improvements with version 11 on this subject ?

It would be a start to know they are even reading our comments!?
If PRT Reps clicked the Thanks button then we would at least know we are not shooting the breeze re our ultimate target audience?
It does help loads to know we are not alone in our difficulties.

05/16/2019 at 2:33 PM #98629I just checked one of my PRT demo platforms and four of the strategies that I have running live have no positions shown as open in the ProOrder Autotrading window but when I click on ‘View Performance’ the strategies are shown as having open positions.
I also found an orphaned trade of unknown origin.
The IG demo on PRT experience reaches new all time lows for me. I will send four reports (which will take ages) and then check the 50 other strategies in my other two accounts (which will also take ages). In a few days time I will check again and I fully expect absolutely nothing to have been done to rectify the situation.
I haven’t coded anything in ages as I have completely lost all interest in using the demo platform right now.
It seems that others in these forums are reporting back test result problems, so back testing is pointless. Forward testing is completely pointless due to the mass of stopped strategies, orphaned trades and phantom trades. so what is the point in writing new code if the testing is all a very big pile of poop.
Just to add insult to injury the demo platform just locked up while sending the first report. Even more of my limited time on this spinning globe is now wasted.
05/16/2019 at 3:25 PM #98631On the second demo account that I checked I found eleven orphaned positions of unknown origin as no strategies had been stopped. I also found one more strategy that was showing open positions in the View Performance window but no positions open in the ProOrder Autotrading window.
On the third demo platform I found one strategy with a position open that is not being shown in the ProOrder Autotrading window. This is the position that I reported eight days ago in this post
and it is now running at around a £20000 loss.
I also found a stopped strategy. I didn’t even bother to check the rejected orders as there is never anything useful to be found out by doing that.
So there it is – a standard day of demo trading – 12 orphaned trades, 8 days wasted, 6 phantom trades, 6 reports sent, 1 stopped strategy and partridge in a pear tree!

05/16/2019 at 8:20 PM #9864305/16/2019 at 9:19 PM #98654juanj– After sending my six reports today I received an almost instant email reply from IG. It was clear that they did not understand the issue and so I sent the attached image to them which they understood and to which they quickly replied:
Thanks for your email.
Apologies I understand now that you are referring to the performance window of your automatic strategies showing ghost orders in the history. I have raised this with Prorealtime to investigate (Reference : 0010254).
As soon as we receive feedback from them we will provide it.
I also notified them that the image was from my girlfriends account and that we had sent a report about it to them eight days ago (I also made a few polite comments about how appalling the demo experience had recently been) and they replied that they would also create a request to have the ghost trades removed from her account too.
So at the moment I don’t feel totally ignored by IG even if eight days since the first report has passed by!
This still does not make up for how totally appalling the IG PRT demo experience has been recently and as such I will be taking time off from coding anything until I have seen that my demo platforms can run reliably and provide reliable back and forward test results. The sun is out in Greece and it is a beautiful time of year here so it is no hardship to leave the laptop and spend time elsewhere.
05/17/2019 at 3:21 PM #98756@Vonasi, to be honest, my emails to IG was also briefly responded to by saying they have escalated the issue to PRT. But that is usually where it stops as I then never hear anything back again. Emails and tickets sent to PRT are ignored flat.
