Again this night two of my strategies where stopped. One running on the Dax 1 euro contract and the other on the FTSE 1 euro contract. Both strategies where stopped this night 1:00 when they tried to place an order. For both strategies the reason for stopping was that the strategies tried to place an order to close to the actual pricelevel. For the Dax an order can’t be closer then 300 points (!) and for the FTSE not closer than 200 points. Obviously there is something wrong because these are not the correct values.
Can somebody from PRT please respond. I had this error and similar several times and reported them also to PRT but I never got any reply. One time I got the answer you need permission to decrypt my code. I gave the permission and never heard from PRT again in this matter. 3 weeks later I talked to PRT again on the phone for a different matter. I mentioned that I’m still waiting fro a reply. The woman said that she sees that the issue is open in the system and promised to reming the support to ring me back. This never happened.
12/19/2017 at 6:05 PM #56093Hello Despair,
I apologise for the fact that we have not found a solution yet to your issue. I confirm that our technical team are working on it right now. I see that my colleague had replied to you the same day.
In any case, I just sent you another email to update you on the status of your current requests.
If you have an additional request for which you did not receive an answer, please send us an email to support@prorealtime.com or send a technical report from your ProRealTime platform.
Many thanks in advance,
Ilaria
12/19/2017 at 6:53 PM #56100Hi Ilaria,
Thanks for your answer but it doesn’t really help. I reported this issue (and many more) over a month ago. Can you imagine how many issues I had within this time I’m waiting.
This are so many and you don’t even answer on this single one. There are many issues. Just to make you understand. This is what my week with PRT looks like so far:
- Night from sunday to monday. To positions closed without reason. Strategy not stopped, just closed my trades.
- Next night (monday to tuesday) two strategies stopped without reason.
You see? There is almost every other day an issue. Shall I report all those? I reported several but NEVER EVER get an answer from PRT. And now you ask me again to report? Can you please explain to me why the issue is unanswered in over a month? I simply do not believe that somebody is working on this every day for over a month.
This is REALLY frustrating.
12/25/2017 at 7:29 PM #56530Meanwhile would it be possible to get a automated push notification and mail when a strategy stops same as when an order change or a position open/close (IG)?
its annoying when you think a strategy is running and it has been stopped for some reason
12/25/2017 at 8:03 PM #56531I think this is not possible. Push notifications are send from IG not PRT. IG doesn’t even notice when a PRT strategy goes offline. You just have to login every day and check if all are still running.
But I also had several times that a strategy was online but didn’t take any orders anyway (though conditions were met and something should have happened). Sometimes in this cases it helped to just turn it off and on again and it would work. Sometimes it helped to ramp up the preloadbars to 1000 or even more (this helped even in cases were I really didn’t understand why I need all this preloaded bars). Actually I think this is even more disturbing than stopped strategies. I had strategies sitting there for 2 weeks before I started wondering why nothing happens. Especially if you run many strategies this is happens easily.
12/30/2017 at 12:00 PM #56861PRT should implement a system that sends email when a strategy goes off. this is a mandatory feature in my personal opinion.
It is not hard to send an email automatically… come on!

Now, when I write variables based on calculations of other variables after certain bars,I am not having the problems any more of disconnected preorders. For example:
PRE-modification:
SMA=average[20](close)
smoothSMA=average[20](SMA)
——– POST-modification
SMA=average[20](close)
If barindex> 21 then
smoothSMA=average[20](SMA)
else
smoothSMA=Undefined
endif
…hope this solution solve this issue. I not having anymore a disconnection of pro order for unknown problem even after days and even running trades.
cheers,
Leo
