Hi,
I have a problem. When i shut down PRT my strategy is always stopped. When i restart PRT there is a yellow sign infront of the strategy and it is not running. When i click on the sign it says that it was stopped because it could load an indicator because of insufficient historical data and that is should use defparam to preload bars. But i have preloaded 2000 bars with should be plenty.
Any suggestions?
05/16/2017 at 10:40 AM #35684Not an expert on this but you could try a smaller amount of preloaded bars. If your indicator needs 200 bars, try to preload 400 bars. It should be enough.

I have a strategy that has been running fine on demo 2-3 days but now it always stops itself after just a few minutes. It always comes the error that an indicator couldnt be calculated because of too few preloaded bars like i described above.
But i do not understand it. I am not aware of usind any indicator that needs so much preloaded bars and i now already increased preloaded bars to 3000 but the problem persists.
Any ideas?

Easiest would be to add your code on here using the <> icon above and then we can test your code on our Platforms to see if we get the same problem. Also somebody may spot what the problem is anyway?

I am using data from friday on mondays so obviously this is “too long ago”. But anyway this seems very strange. I am preloading 3000 bars and this is a 5min strategy. So this is data for more than 10 days! This should be more than enough.
I am still all ears for suggestions…

Today it has been running all day without problems. It must be something like with this hidden sunday candles that caused problems for me before.
