Hi Nickolas. I would like to suggest a chat function to the forum. I think it could widened the colaboration between users and strenghten the community when working together cheers Kasper
01/06/2017 at 9:51 AM #20003Hi Kasper, thanks for all your contribution to the community.
About chat room, this is something I don’t want, like private messaging, because informations are lost afterwards and so they don’t benefit to the whole community. I’d like to think the website as a whole (forums+library+documentation+blog) and to be a complete and persistent reference for users to come and there are a lot of new comers everyday.
If you have any idea of other improvements or bugfixes for the website, please add them to this topic. I encourage everyone to do it too! 🙂
EDIT: I made the topic a “super sticky” one, so now everyone’s is concerned and can give his/her own idea about it. Please be kind with me 🙂

01/15/2017 at 6:51 PM #21192A suggestion for a sticky post for errors found on Prt 10.3?
I see that PRT 10.3 is generating error post often, so would it be of any help to post them here, or should we just hit “send report”- explain our problem and how it occurred, so Prorealtime have the information?
Cheers Kasper
01/16/2017 at 8:51 PM #21369Good idea Kasper re the 10.3 errors, be good to know if we all experiencing the same / similar issues.
Anybody got a response back from PRT following submission of an Error Report? I’ve only started sending the Error Report from yesterday.
Idea/ Suggestion
How about a world wide map where we all add our locations? Once set up it should (?) be self-administering so not ongoing extra work for you Nicolas. ‘MyMap’ on Google may do the job?

Or maybe a plugin like this …

01/17/2017 at 11:23 AM #21427How about an additional column ‘Views’ alongside Topics and Voices. It would be encouraging to see how many members actually view a post. This is a commn feature on other Forums and for good reason.
I often take time to expand my posts to benefit others reading at a later date. In some of my posts I feel like I am talking to myself because there can be precious little input (big thanks to those that do) from others. I am working through a problem and I feel if I’m having it then others may at some stage and this is why I expand my text … not for my benefit but for others.
Writing takes time to ensure it makes sense etc and it would be encouraging to see just how many members read the various posts, not just mine but other members posts also. The number of views gives a useful indication of what (otherwise silent) members are interested in.

01/31/2017 at 10:43 AM #23208Further to my post in my presentation thread and GraHal’s guidance as to where to post it, I would like to suggest to have somewhere on this forum a thread that would centralize the wish list of potential functionalities that we would like to see implemented in PRT. At some point in the future (or better on a regular basis ?) when synthetised and ranked by priority, this list could be sent to PRT for their consideration, and our dreams could come true…
What do you think ?
One of my first items on this list would be to have a guaranteed stop unction that could be coded in proorder. Certainly would help me sleep better if I’m positive that my automatic trades won’t meet slippage.
Best,
B

The thread is open, go ahead, ask everything you want 🙂

01/31/2017 at 11:47 AM #23233Thanks a lot Nicolas, I’m impressed by the prompt reply !
02/01/2017 at 8:04 PM #2347102/01/2017 at 8:20 PM #23474The “insert prt code” button is disable in responsive (mobile) mode because of compatibility issue. I plan to add

shortcode to add syntax highlighting, it’s on my todo list..

02/07/2017 at 3:42 PM #24226There are more and more people coming to prorealcode and many threads are really interesting! Sometimes I loose some of them because I do not reply as quickly as I’d like to.. So I just added the “new posts last week” page to find them: https://www.prorealcode.com/view/new-posts-last-week/
You can find it into your profile/avatar menu like any other views.

02/26/2017 at 11:08 AM #26390Is there any Boolean Logic available in Search on this site?
I’ve tried various to pull a phrase “Nicolas must never sleep”, Nicolas AND sleep, etc but none work. (the phrase I use here is an attempt at humour of course :))
With so much good info on this site it is frustrating not being able to access it swiftly, so could Boolean Search Operators be a feature of Search please?
Many Thanks
GraHal02/26/2017 at 11:15 AM #26393No, there is no such feature in the search engine GraHal. I plan to add google custom search in the website, to add better and reliable results, speed and “search operators” as you mentioned.
I think you’ll get more results with “Nicolas try to sleep” 🙂 -
