Hi,
I would like to know if anyone is familiar with the swingcounter by TA analyst Nico Bakker
Its a counter that checks for a prise being higher then the 3 days before and then puts a 1 above the prise. This should
continue until a maximum of 9. Same counts for the lower.
It should look like the picyure below.
Thank for any help

03/22/2017 at 4:38 PM #29468I’m not and it doesn’t look I will be 🙂 after a very brief search on google … I youtube video in german? ha I’ll see if video can be auto-translated.
Looks straightforward though … I guess after 9 bars we are at a likely turning point / top / bottom?
I’d like to test it out if we can get it coded?
Thanks
GraHalPS Oh here we are … I’ll check this out http://www.nicoprbakker.nl/educatie/

After #9 the run is done or should be done in any case 9 is the maximum Up or down.
After that cycle starts over.
On the 10th bar it should check again and start with 1 if the condition is reached again either up or down
Yes that website should make it all clear.
thanks for your help in advance

The upswing should start if the opening price is higher then the closing price of 3 days ago
It should check that until the maximum of 9 is reached then it should always stop. 10 can never be there
For the downswing the same; opening price should be lower then the closing price of 3 days ago again with 9 as maximum
If the price keeps going up or down a new swing starts with 1 again with 1 day in between the 9 and first new 1
After a reversal it is possible to go directly to 1, so if there is a upswing till 9 and the price goes way down (see condition) it should start to count the other way
Please check the picture i included in the previous post.
Hope this helps a little
thank in advance
