    I hope to have made good arrangements again (two days ago). If I counted correctly this is the 4th very explicit time (the first one being our list upon which I heard no-thing after 2,5 years and after mentioning it regularly – I gave up on that one and agreed to pass on everything bit by bit).
    So Yes, I passed on that one just now. Of course PRT should read all what’s in this topic, but that is not what I agreed this time.

    Day after day I find better fun messages. “This market is now closed”.
    It is actually less important that the market is open all right (this is Nasdaq and it opens 00:00 my time), but would it be closed, how can the autotrading program incur for this ??

    This one is not fun but annoying, because it happens regularly, causes the strategy to be stopped out and it makes no sense at all.

    “This trading system has stopped because of an external event such as the change of an order or position, by a trading system from within an interface other than ProOrder”.

    This is in Demo and I am pretty confident it is related to trailing, somehow.

    Does anybody else get this weird phenomenon? I did not tick each box nor did I select the box at the top which selects ALL the running Systems, but often I find all my running Systems ticked … see attached. Anybody know of any setting to stop this happening please?

    So … This issue has been solved, but I can now do it too ! See first attachment. ALL gone.

    I was about to give a bunch of Systems to ProOrder but at the first transmitted I had dome something wrong with a parameter and I went to delete it. The screen looked like you see in the 2nd attachment – clicked the trash bin. I recall the n/a in the rightmost column and the filled data in the other rows underneath it. No way I had touched any checkbox, and whether they were checked, I don’t know (the newly added ones automatically are, which is good). Anyway, clicked the trash bin and away were all.

    Luckily this is no real issue for me (I have all the systems on disk), except that I just planned to export all so I’d have historical data on the revenue of the individual Systems. That now is lost.
    I exited without saving, but of course this activity had been “saved” already, automatically.

    What you describe above is same / similar to what happened to me that time a while back!

    How do you export and have access to historical data on the revenue??

    To save you typing … I export loads, but just the .itf file.

    Ah yeah, that allows export of what we see in the AutoTrading window, pity it not also include a few more fields (e.g. No of Trades etc) or better still as a user option etc.

    If only we could add a ‘user calculation’ in that window and if only the AutoTrading window featured the Period widget same as the Portfolio Detailed Report … see attached at red arrowhead.

    I have emailed a Suggestion for both Calcs and a Period Widget to PRT about 18 months ago!

    If more folk send in the same Suggestion, we may actually get it one day!!??

    Had about 10 or so SystemsRejected yesterday for minimum distance issues … on Buy Orders!

    Today the same Systems are running fine!

    Somebody on here stated in the past when they rang IG to moan about above, the IG man said … ‘Oh yeah we haven’t  changed the settings from weekend back to weekday!

    I think above was referring to Demo Accounts and my Issues yesterday were on Demo.

    Re above, the min distance in the Reject error message was stated as 834.975, IMO this fits with somebody on Friday after 23:00 picking some arbitrary value (using a dropdown slider) for the ‘weekend setting’.

    Beggars belief if above is the case as why isn’t Demo aligned with Live and why isn’t it all automatic anyway and not needing somebody on Sunday night / Monday morning to change back to ‘weekday settings’??

    So this sustained for 10x (5 seconds or so) before the system was thrown out. 112 points on Nasdaq … it doesn’t even exist ! (virtually)

    I think this is the only error left for me when in Live. It happens … once per week or so ? 2nd attached shows a selection from of November 1.
    This is always at the Entry. So same thing.

    IG man must have been in early today as I’ve had no Rejections for minimum distance for 1 week now since Mon 23 Jan.

    Mmm spoke too soon!! Not quite, but just noticed 7 individual open positions, phantoms not tied to any Auto-System. Noticed the same thing about 2 weeks ago.

    This is something else I’m going to check regularly for from now on.

    Aren’t you getting informed by email about Stopped Systems ?

    Anyway, a new one for me and IB is that Systems can be stopped without any yellow triangle to be seen anywhere, afterwards. It is only the email what I notice it from, plus of course the system isn’t running any more (or runs as a loose train per PRT setting, like in your case).
    With IG  I don’t think I have ever seen that.

    The yellow triangle I refer to must be in the list you see below (mind the tab). If it does not exist over there, formally nothing happened (wrongly) – hence nothing to talk about with Support. This thus can happen with IB.

    Btw, meanwhile a new annoying message for this topic : “Position does not exist” (something was slow ? like Limit order after a Market order)
    (but this occurrence does not stop Systems)

    Yes, but I never check as I check via the AutoTrading window and as I have 25 Running Systems permanently, I notice straight off if any are Stopped as I check Algo progress several times per day.

    No loose trains here, I always have enabled the Close Trades if a System is stopped for any reason.  I just double checked also, still enabled to Close any trades.

    I do not know where the 7 phantom trades (I refer to them in my earlier post) came from … scary eh??
