Hi, is it possible to count ticks generated during the current candle, for example a 5 minutes one? Obviously in “Tick by tick” timeframe is very easy to do it, but I have no idea on how to do it in a higher timeframe. In any indicator applied to any timeframe you can see the movement of the current candle affecting the indicator, that means any price variation of the current candle is detected by the indicator. Does it mean that any tick could be detected (counted) in some way in the code even if it is running at 5 minutes or 1 hour or whatever timeframe? Thanks for any answer Stefano

No, you cannot mix time based charts with non-time base ones.

There’s no way to count how many ticks form a single 5-minute bar (or any other TF), other than the workaround you mentioned.
