I looked in the forums here to see if anyone was posting about this when I first discovered it happening – didn’t see anything so looked in the IG forums and others posting about it on there so posted there – yes was back up and running Sunday afternoon but totally agree that is pretty outrageous
There seems to be an ever on-going flair in the air round here (and I am one of them!) of ‘lets give ITF a break they’re trying hard they’ve got a lot on their plate we should all just back off and give them some room and not upset their feelings and hopefully eventually they will sort things out etc.’
FFS how much longer is it going to go on like this for though…?!?
I mean how many companies are afforded this level of client loyalty as we are all very patiently waiting for this that and the other to be simply responded too, fundamental errors fixed, obvious errors fixed, functionality reinstated after being knocked out by an upgrade etc. whilst many a ‘FREE bug finder client’ on these forums have been and gone as they brought issues to ITF’s attention but were accused of badmouthing ITF…
There was mention in another post along the lines of ‘yup PRT might not be perfect but does anyone know a better system that is free’ – the more I think about that (and I wholeheartedly agreed with it at the time) the more delusional and absurd a statement I realise it to be (no disrespect these are my own thoughts/conclusions)
I don’t think this was planned maintenance it was panic maintenance and putting the jigsaw pieces together of what I think is going on behind the scenes… well yeh it doesn’t look good if you ask me
And to say nobody was trading it’s the weekend – the crypto’s trade over the weekend don’t they or at least part of it and there are Sunday somethings on the indices – besides which the weekend is when many can go over their systems and see how things have been getting on and perhaps tweak some code etc.
Bottom line is it’s more than just basic courtesy I would have thought it an absolute requirement for any self respecting sizeable company to notify their clients of downtime well in advance – but we should just back off relax and give ITF a break… I am seriously so annoyed at myself I haven’t backed off a long time ago further than I already have… as in all the way… (cue @Nicolas politely showing me the door! 😉
Come on ITF (or whoever is responsible) surely you can show your clients some respect!
