I have been using PRT for last 5 years plus , After review I am finding it is extremely unfriendly for manual trading on the following aspect for the following reasons
If I hide the open position or orders I wont place the order ( it can be done pressing arrow at 2). The reason is my open position is fully covering the price of interest if I hide the order I wont be able to place new orders with clean screen.
my suggestion is you need to delink this . I should be hide the open position and still should be able to place orders
we should be able to move this open order position to any area in the screen one by one so that the can be visible non in the current price zone
also you should be to change the colour and font of this

I take it you mean that you want to see price levels under the Orders?
If Yes, why don’t you drag that area of the Chart to the right so that that area is visible and moved out from under the Orders?

We can change font size … see the red arrowhead on attached.

I am talking about just position size and profit.
The whole idea I want to place order and with SL or Limit and not see them, currently as per my screenshot it occupies entire current price zone after one order.

You must have that font size slider turned way up as I’ve not great eyesight and mine is attached … Orders not as dominant as yours re covering the full chart etc??

Hey you can change the colour … see attached (red arrowhead) I changed the negative gain to yellow to show up on the Blue Chart background.

Open a duplicate Chart, unlink it from the original chart and then hide the Orders so you can see full width across the chart.
Then use the original chart (with orders showing) for raising new Orders / Trades?
12/29/2022 at 11:22 AM #206445Hi Everyone,
First of all Merry Christmas to you (this beautiful community), thanks to which I have brought my trading to the new level (and hopefully will get even better).
Now, I would like to take this opportunity to refresh the topic to hand as I have been playing around the platform trying to find a way to hide the open positions or packed them into an average entry position instead of showing each and every of them. On this thread I have noted that the font and style can be changed but is there any better way since then?
Thank you for your reply as ever.
Greetings,
John

My screen too, is some times cluttered with all the labels (if you like it, I could show you 20 or so). This is way annoying during backtesting. See attached for the example from this very topic.
I had the idea that back in some days when I did not need this yet, there was an option somewhere that would hide the labels. But or I dreamt that, or I just can’t find it any more.
12/30/2022 at 11:03 AM #20650412/30/2022 at 11:12 AM #206508Apologies, No. I have no open positions currently.
If *that* works, PRT heavily f*cked up recently, because in half of my charts I have that the one way and in the other half the other. So for now assumed you are correct, since when is hiding those buttons related to hiding the position labels ? I mean, I don’t see the relationship.
As soon as a position appears, I will check it out. And of you are correct I will file a complaint. And that will be harmless because not many things are “solved”, as we know.
Feel free to justify the behavior. I may change my mind.
And eh … this is AutoTrading, you know. Why would I want those buttons for trading ? So in normal circumstances I would shut those off. … And let my positions remain visible …More coffee !
12/30/2022 at 11:20 AM #20650912/30/2022 at 11:27 AM #206511You may have your ‘wires crossed‘?
Haha, I always have. But if you are correct on that one, then you have found the setting after all (I think I tried that one only this week, so must re-check). But then somehow it would be related to that click on the tab as well ? bzzzzz
This is one from October 2021. One thing : this is Demo and IB. My examples would be from IB anyway.
Ah, found a good one – from IG Live. 2nd attachment. November 2021.
Now if Mr AutoTrader would be so kind to open a position … 🙂 then I could check it.
