I tried your code on the DAX 10 minutes. the Universal indicator is very volatile, could you use the indicator as a good intraday trend indicator ?
I tried searching for long position when Universal Indicator is below and below the lower band, but oft in a (longer) uptrend Universal Indicator stays above the standard/avarage. Any tips appreciated.

Hereby as an example a screenshot of the DAX for 2 and 3 May, 5 minutes chart. In an uptrend in the morning of 3 May, the Universal value jumps already to the upper band.
See attachments, 1 with chart and 1 with the used indicator setup, (I use the recommended setup)
The 10 min charts gives roughly the same Universal values
That is why I have asked for tips for day trading setups using this indicator
07/08/2019 at 6:33 PM #102206Hi Ale, thanks for another great visual indicator!
You mentioned it can be used “as an entry and exit signal, when the Universal value crosses the level 0.”
Where do you see that zero level on the chart for the Universal Value because on my Dow chart using the crosshair, it just shows the Universal Value as whatever level the Dow is at? When I use the crosshair I can’t see how to find that zero point. On a typical Ehler’s oscillator it’s very easy to see when the oscillator has crossed over zero.
Cheers
