01/23/2023 at 4:51 PM #208005The dog has to get priority, usually I’ll wait for the big move losing momentum and going close to support or resistance and reverse it for a few quick points not today though unfortunately! I need to train the dog to stop clockwatching when its his time to go, because I was away from trading so long he is in the habit of going right before market open! bit of a pain too be honest but how can I refuse that wee face LOL

01/23/2023 at 5:30 PM #20801101/24/2023 at 5:00 AM #208030It seems that both of you now post in a wrong topic ? Shug, it is nice to have your endeavour collected in one story (hence the other topic).
GraHal, your (and mine) annoyances are collected in that other topic. Yours as of now is already in there, but of course keeps on happening (I had it twice last Friday in Live, though it was Nasdaq).🙂
01/24/2023 at 7:36 AM #208033Sorry Peter!
Completely my fault, I should have kept the 500 challenge on the other topic. This is the only forum I have ever used but that’s no excuse I should keep up to date with the rules of the forum and use common sense.
So if I post results on the trading without indicators thread and just post ideas etc on US30 analysis on this thread does that keep everything right?
Thanks

Think of how hard that would be! same with markets, if you have a belief on a market going a certain place, even though price starts going the opposite way we hang in there until we need to start using that religion and praying for it to come back! moving stop losses in the hope it returns and talking to ourselves to try to confirm our previous analysis and all the while price just keeps going against us. Go with the flow of the markets, if you get it wrong be quick to admit to yourself that your original belief has to be wrong at this moment in time and do something about it! even if its reducing the size of the position until the market swings. Is better to take less of a loss than hang on to a false belief and empty the account trying to prove the market wrong.
Just my own opinion
01/24/2023 at 9:41 AM #208044I personally thought this market at open would have headed up to 34 thousand, but its heading down instead but instead of just jumping in and buying, i sat back and waited to see what the market had to say first, otherwise I’d be in a minus right now. Patience and observation then conformation that’s the ticket
