I have tried 5 or 6 times to save my preferred layout of the AutoTrading Window and no method works 100%!?
Most of the columns I set up appear as I want them but then, for example, each time I restart my Platform Instrument and Version appear back as a column whereas I had unticked Instrument and Version (then saved as below 1. 2 and 3).
- Yes I have saved as xxxx Template when setting up my columns.
2. Yes I clicked on Start on this Computer with this Workspace.
3. Yes I clicked on Save and Exit when closing the Platform (5 or 6 times in the last 10 minutes).
I wouldn’t mind if we had a list of bugs / Issues that we had to workaround / live with, but it is so frustrating spending time trying to achieve preferred layouts which clearly the Platform is designed to achieve … else why have all the boxes / columns to tick / untick??

Maybe Instrument and Version in separate cells is a must have / default??
If so (and not a problem) but why then provide a box to tick / untick against Instrument and Version??

I’ll concede defeat and have Instrument in my layout!
So after 9 times Open and Close of the Platform … I confirm that the layout below saved and remained as the same when I next opened the Platform.
So layout of columns in the ProOrder AutoTrading window is able to be saved as an integral part of a Template (it just won’t save the layout I wanted! 🙁 ).
I’m not that bothered now I know … and now you all know and it will save you a very frustrating hour!
More strong coffee needed now!! 🙂

Wrong! 🙂
Well a bit wrong … the effect is the same, but by a different means!
As Nicolas thinks above … ProOrder column layout is not saved as part of a Template, but layout is saved as part of the WorkSpace for whichever Account you have open.
So when we open a different Template (on same Account) a preferred ProOrder column layout is available, provided we ticked the box … Start on this Computer with this Workspace … and saved on Exit.
