V12 only in this Topic.
I experienced a delay of 2 or 3 seconds when carrying out certain functions, main one I recall is viewing the equity curve after optimization.
Sometimes I think… is this the result? I look back at the optimizer results and then the latest equity curve populates.
I am not getting any similar delays on v11 functions.

- I optimise 2 variables X and Y.
- I set as fixed (in the optimiser) these 2 variables X and Y.
- I set to optimise 2 other variables A and B, but instead of optimising A and B, the optimiser AGAIN optimises X and Y (even though X and Y were set as fixed when I started the optimiser).
03/04/2024 at 11:27 AM #229183Is it my imagination or has v12 now got a limit on the number of characters that show in the title of an Algo in the backtest window?
I cannot see all variable values and I’m sure that was not the case until recently??
See attached for what I mean, the variable values end / disappear with a … ) fx.
Anybody know of a setting to make the Algo title allow ALL variables values to show please??
03/04/2024 at 11:32 AM #229186Hahaha, I would have the example the other way around : the screen/chart filled with wrapping variables because there are so many (over 40 in my case). But I promise : I never announced this as a problem to PRT so it is not my fault. 🙂
(I vaguely recall that this occurs with Indicators but alas)Anyway, where you can set that Wrap Y/N, won’t there be a new setting for this ?

If I click on fx it takes me to the optimiser Table.
So, you didn’t say, can you see all optimised variables values in the title of Algo equity curve?
03/04/2024 at 1:10 PM #229198I have them all (but maybe not enough of them ?).
What that Dutch I tried to say Yes (also see picture in that post). Or is that not what you meant ?
If I click on fx it takes me to the optimiser Table.
Hmm. My version is from Feb 19. Is yours newer then ?
(or older – IIRC there also has been a Feb 18 version)03/04/2024 at 1:38 PM #229199see picture in that post
No that is not what I am talking about .. see my screenshot.
from Feb 19. Is yours
Mine Feb 19 also, but now you know where I am referring (not same as your screeshot) then you may have fx also?
03/04/2024 at 2:37 PM #229202No that is not what I am talking about .. see my screenshot.
My screenshot is from the same all right (see part of the equity curve in the left).
03/04/2024 at 2:42 PM #229203Okay I see it now.
You use many variables (but not in your screenshot) so what is the max number of variables that show alongside the title of the Algo … 5, 10, 20, 40 … do your variable values ever wrap around onto a second line??
03/04/2024 at 3:25 PM #22920545 Parameters, no “Fx” but the same thing as with you otherwise.
I never use that data(-line) so I never saw whether it was complete previously. But see 2nd pic; that is V11. There it just does not fit. Unless I enlarge the chart (make wider).
I now also found back where it becomes annoying. That’s in the 3rd pic. That form just grows to the width of that variables bar. This is again V11; not sure whether I ever saw that in V12.
N.b.: The “wrap” thing is maybe something/somewhere else, as the form I found earlier today talks about “show labels spread over more lines” (translated from Dutch), which is not the same as wrapping, which also exists somewhere and which fills half of the chart when hovering. … But this may not be related anyway.

03/08/2024 at 2:07 AM #229428Guys you have to send your issues to support otherwise we’ll be forever groaning about problems the team have no idea about seemingly. I’ve done it. Twice. The platform is working well enough for me, although there are a few things I suggested in my email to support but we don’t want to just put up with it, it’s not good for trading morale. I overall really like PRT and if a few iggly issues and improvements gets addressed it’d be a joy.
