    I would really like some help getting an indicator i’d like to use working in probuilder.

    I watched a youtube video where SMB capital have a volume indicator that seperates the buying and selling volume in the volume sticks.
    For instance; if 100 shares are traded in a 5 minute period, and 25 of them are on sell side (red), 65 on buy side (green) and 10 are flat (black), the volume will go to 100 on y axis, and the volume stick will comprise the the afforementioned figures as seperate colours rather than one block colour of green or red or black.

    SMB gave me the code which they use on their platform (I think they use TOS) but this code doesn’t run in Probuilder (It won’t let me add indicator to chart).
    As i’m sure is obvious i have no coding experience in the Probuilder and I doubt I’d use it for anything but this indicator so I’m stuck and would really appreciate some help.

    Would you mind posting screenshots of the indicator applied to a chart, in order to make it looks the same? Thank you.

    Yes of course, thanks for looking into it!

    @robert123,

    Thanks for your post but unfortunately this isn’t the indicator I’ve seen.

    looks pretty close to above- you will need to turn the lines into ‘histogram’ and then remove the summation if it not needed.

    Thank you Robert.

    This version is with histograms:

    So just realised the indicator works perfectly for green candles; but for some reason it doesn’t separate the green from the red when a red candle forms! Any idea how i can fix this?

    There is no difference between green and red candles, the formula is the same, therefore it should work the same in any case..

    It might be worth looking at the summation(s)-I think the difference between longer and shorter calculations, could shed some light. In any event, the summation [14] used with a moving average is useful.

    You are right robert123! Cumulative volumes on each side is a great indicator of the market strength, even if the formula used here is not so accurate as extracting the real bid:ask volumes.
