Anyone else have been noticing big differences this week between live and demo account? I run multiple systems exact same in demo as in live account and I know that sometimes there can be differ trades. Some trades might happen on demo that does not happen on live and some trades does not appear on backtest that appear on demo and vice versa. I know it can happen.
But this week particular today it have happend more times than the last year. And also I got some wierd rejected orders I have never seen before.
Is the a known issue this week or is this just me?

– limit/stop orders
– entries without trigger (no “crosses over” but simply >)
– no minimum distance for trailing and co
… probably a lot more… but that is what was always wrong with me between live/demo/backtest.
06/13/2023 at 4:31 PM #216145Well some of the sytems got stopped with “position does not exist” and also one with insufficient funds with a demo account with 100k euro trying to take a low pos size.
But that is not the wierdest thing for this week. I have had MULTIPLE differnce entry trades on demo vs live. And the system closes it position exactly 1 minute after entry in demo (same system no trade on live). And when I backtest it, it is not there. I have multiple of thoose this week. And also I had system entries on demo but not on live. This has happend different systems and versions, which I run in live with SAME parameters and nothing happend on live.
And as I mentioned I know there are differnces between live and demo and some trades can occur different. But also as I mentioned this happend more times today than for several years.

And I have ran this system for 4+ years and I have never seen this issue. And it is only happening in demo. I dont understand what has gone into PRT demo this week.

So they should multiply all with 1000 for Forex. But not so with IG because the contract is 100.000 by standard there (buy 1 piece, get 100.000). So if you recognize that all is multiplied by 1000 now, then you know what’s probably going on (remove one bug for the one environment and introduce it for the other).
Of course this also eats your portfolio.

06/13/2023 at 5:46 PM #216156Use GRAPH or GRAPHONPRICE to spot any incorrect calculation.
On DAX it may happen to use + instead of – between two prices, high + low instead of high-low is a huge difference, from roughly 32K to 200 hundred!
On EUR/USD it could be an incorrect multiplication or division.
06/13/2023 at 5:49 PM #216157The Demo hasn’t worked for two days, do what you want.
It blocks the algorithm immediately after 1 minute, otherwise it continues to open and close operations that do not exist in the Backtest, in some cases it exists in the backtest but does not perform any operations in the demo.
It would seem that only the Nasdaq works.1 user thanked author for this post.
